Handy primer for understanding cops’ duties, protocols, and lives. Lee Lofland does a review of all Castle episodes following their og air date. It includes good provedure from a former cop and good warnings about common misconceptions inspired by movies and TV shows.

Hell, anyone writing about police officers in any capacity must read it. Good non-fiction is hard to find. I highlighted proceeure sections!
More personal anecdotes and stories from real policemen and women would have been much more helpful.
