That sounds high for a minimum guaranteed gain, but I’ll take your numbers at face value.

I would use 1. The base of Q1 needs 2. That’s the main current that Q1 needs to be able to sink when on. You now say that you want datqsheet support a final load current of mA, and that the gain of Q4 is Email Required, but never shown.

R8 is only datashert turn off Q4 when it is not being actively 2as1273 on. Lower values turn it off faster. So now you should be able to see for yourself what a good range of values for the resistors are. That shorts the base of Q1 to ground, turning it off. Note how the suggested by OP resistor values aren’t that well chosen.

Q1 and Q2 are arranged with positive feedback so that they have two stable operating points. This pulls the bottom end of R2 low, which turns on Q2. Hey all, I’ve been trying to figure out why one of my Rovio’s motors only spins one way. The lowest voltage drop for such a LED would be 1. I added both circuits. You haven’t provided a datasheet for the 2SA, so we’ll arbitrarily assume they can be counted on to have a gain of at least That large current isn’t really needed.

When SW2 is pressed, it turns on Q3.

Sign up using Facebook. Changing R2, R3 will make the latch work or not. I’ve read that for the most part silicon tranistors are drop in replacements. I think that for both sets of resistor values the latch will work. By Ohm’s law, the maximum R7 value is therefore 3. Thanks for the feed back. For Q4 Datashewt think it depends on the load, how much current the load needs. Since R3 only needs to react “instantly” on a human time scale, there is no need to make R3 small.

Each transistor being on keeps the other on. Suppose I wanted to feed this circuit from a battery then I want the currents to be as low as possible, for that I would completely re-calculate all resistor values to get the optimum values. The load is a unspecified LED emitting visible light.

I thank you for having responded to my dataheet. Now you have to go back and update the min required current sink value for Q1, and ripple thru all the downstream calculations from that as shown above. Let’s therefore work backwards requiring Q1 to sink 2. I can’t find a relacement or equivilent. I am assuming that there should be another one on the circuit board.

I’m not a fan of the 5. But datashdet you’re near the edge of what this PNP can do.

That turns off Q2, which then no longer provides base current to keep Q2 on. Please post the readings and I’ll try to help you find a replacement.

Soldered it in and voila, works perfectly. The circuit basically consists of 3 sections: Olin Lathrop I’m trying to make an accurate calculation, but I have little understanding datqsheet how to produce it.

Glade it worked for ya.
